Faster or longer 3rd birth?

My first birth was 7h, second was 2h. I’m expecting my third and I’m “worried” that I’ll be too fast to make it (got there 15m before pushing last time). They say sometimes third births are longer than seconds. What’s your experience?

My midwives kept telling me that 3rd is a wild card and it was for me. Water broke at 6am but she was born 10pm with not a lot of laboring until the very end there. My first 2 labors progressed with more of a pattern.

Counting from when I realized I was in labor to baby was born, my first and second were 13-14 hours. My third was 3.

It varies widely. My first was 8 hours and my second was 3 hours. I was worried about my 3rd also. Kids 3-6 were between 10-12 hours each, not faster. My 7th however, less then 2 hours from first contraction. I knew I was in trouble of not making it to the hospital by the 3rd contraction, they were already unbearable and on top of each other. It had woken me from my sleep. It was during a winter blizzard here, I was afraid of the ice and ending up stuck on the way, plus waiting for a ride. I wouldn’t have made it on my own driving.
