Too early to test?

Is 8-9dpo too early to test, and get a positive result on a pregnancy test?

It's not too early if you implanted at the earliest which is 6dpo but on average it's still too early. Implantation happens between 6dpo and 12dpo and then you need 2 to 3 days for hcg to build up enough for a test. Which means you could have a positive pregnancy test anywhere between 8dpo and 15dpo. Most commonly implantation happens between 8dpo and 10dpo which would mean that most commonly you should have a positive pregnancy test between 10dpo and 12dpo.
