I was surprised to have gotten a positive pregnancy test over the weekend. My last period was July 24th, but my periods are very irregular. It’s not uncommon for me to skip a month or two. But when Monday came I made an appointment with my OBGYN and they wanted me to come in soon for dating because by the date of my last period, I should already be 12 weeks. So they scheduled me for the 24th. I couldn’t wait though because there’s no way I could be 12 weeks pregnant and only notice just now! Especially when I had taken a test on September 2nd and 3rd that were both negative.

We have an ultrasound clinic here that is privately owned (it’s actually really cute bc it’s also a newborn and maternity photography studio!) so I booked an appointment with her for today. We took a look and dated the pregnancy at 5 weeks and 2 days, which is too soon to see a heartbeat or anything. I have had a miscarriage before so I am a little worried but I also keep telling myself everything is fine because I actually feel symptoms, and I’m not bleeding or anything.

I knew I wasn’t 12 weeks pregnant, but I was hoping to see a viable pregnancy and now I am just waiting one more week. Prayers, good vibes, and fertility spells/blessings would be so much appreciated right now.
