3rd baby Birth story!
My little girl, Lexie is here! She's my third baby but my 1st girl! I just wanted to share my birth story. My little girl decided to beat the odds and come 5 days late. My 1st was 1 day late and my 2nd was 4 days early so I thought she'd come earlier or at the latest, she wouldn't pass her due date. Well, I had my doctors app on October 17th (when she was 4 days late) and my doctor asked if i wanted a membrane sweep. I told her I had one last week and it didnt do anything but I'd like another one if she can do it. I was stuck at 1cm dilation for weeks now but that day I had progressed to 3cm but my doc said she could stretch me to 4cm since I was close. She gave me a membrane sweep that actually hurt (the last one didn't hurt). She said "that feels good. That'll definitely get things moving. You'll have your baby this weekend." When I got home I noticed my water kept leaking a little (around 5pm). I wasn't sure if it was the water at first but it didn't look like mucus. I had water that leaked through my underwear and pants but not big enough for me to know it was my water breaking so I took a nap and when I woke up more leaked. I told my mom and she said I should go to the hospital to get checked. Once I got to the hospital and got out of my car, my water broke. Perfect timing. We got to the hospital at 10:15pm. I told them I wanted an epidural at somepoint so they got it ordered and ready for whenever I wanted it. As soon as the contractions got painful, I asked for the epidural at 2am. I took a nap and at 5:15am I felt like it was time to push everytime I had a contraction and it was! I had to wait 15mins for the doctor to come in and a few seconds of pushing and she was out. She came so quick and easy! I couldn't have asked for a better birth. Alexis Grace was born at 5:44am on October 18th
