Need help/ support

Does anyone have any experience with their child not going poo?

My daughter is 4 years old and has always had trouble going poo since she was a baby we’ve talked to multiple drs and nothing they recommend has worked. She goes a week or more sometimes without pooing, we’ve tried restorlax, more water, She runs around a lot and we’ve tried rewards as well as encouragement but we just don’t know what to do anymore. If anyone has any suggestions or tips please help us

Have you tried eliminating lactose? My kiddo was having issues with constipation, then we switched to lactose free milk, and that took care of the problem. He used to go up to 6 days or more without pooping, now he mostly goes every day, but if he skips a couple days, makes up for it on day 3 and goes twice. I havent given him miralax once, since starting lactose free

Try adding more fiber… whole fruits and veg… pears and lots of berries. Even Digestive biscuits perhaps?

I have a friend who has a daughter with Down Syndrome and this is an issue for them. She has that girl eating SO MUCH fiber it’s insane and I believe she does miralax. But it works. Her diet is strictly monitored for this reason. They also did a million tests on her too to rule out any systemic issues. What tests has your daughter had done? Does she eat fruit and vegetables? Limit binding foods like cheese and bananas?
