1cm Cramping and Contractions

Had to go to the hospital yesterday for cramping and consistent contractions. I’m only 36 weeks four days. I stayed at one cm with a thick cervix the whole time we were there. They were coming every 4-10 min. Today, I had my 36 week appointment, and he is measuring 7lbs 6 oz already. I had another cervix check which was my fourth in less than 24 hours. I’m cramping even more now with backaches. I was still only at one cm earlier which was a bit soul crushing to hear after all the cramping and contractions I experienced throughout the night. They kept me from sleeping because they would make me up.

I feel like I’m gonna be one of those people who has their baby in the car on accident because I don’t know what’s real labor at this point. We had a scare at 32 weeks then I fell at 33 weeks, so I’ve been to labor and delivery three times already this pregnancy. I was induced with my first at 38 weeks for high blood pressure, so I only know contractions with pitocin which are supposed to be more painful. My first was also 8lbs 10oz at 38 weeks. If I go to 40 weeks, looking at 9-10lb baby…

Anyone else experience cramping after cervical checks or early labor that seemed to drag on?
