My cat is indoor-only & we have a German Shepard who we bring inside at night & on hot/cold/raining days. We’re still familiarising them with each other, we haven’t had them in the same room without leads yet. My cat is skittish & my partner’s dog is still young (2y/o) & although he is never aggressive, he’s a big boy & we don’t want to risk anything bad happening.

Our home only has 1 air conditioner that only cools down the room that it is in (opposite end of the house to the room we keep the cat in while the dog is inside) & our entire house has only very minimal air circulation/movement.

Outside of going & buying an extremely expensive air conditioner, does anyone here have ideas or know of any useful products to keep my cat cool? I want to be prepared before we hit any seriously hot days.

I’m a nursing & midwifery student so my budget isn’t huge, but I can use Afterpay if there’s a product you highly recommend but it’s a bit pricier
