Why call him daddy?

What is the appeal of calling your partner daddy? I’ve never been able to wrap my head around why  this is a thing. I’m prompted to ask why to seek answers because the man I’m with has requested I call him daddy. Trying to be open minded and not judge. This man is amazing in so many ways and I don’t want to jump to assumptions.

It is a term of endearment! Parents call their children babe all the time. I don’t think people think deep enough about it for it to be weird, you got a man who take good care of you and loves you , that’s daddy! Moms also call their spouse daddy for their children, so it’s plenty of reasons why one would do it.

I used to but ever since having a kid.. never again. Now I think it’s weird lol. But I thinks definitely a submissive/dominant thing. I still consider myself submissive but me and my bf practice that in other ways. You don’t have to do that if you’re not comfortable with it

I love it lol. But I don't have dad so 🤷🏾‍♀️ I grew up with a stepdad who I referred to as something similar to "daddy" and not the actual pronunciation so calling my husband the actual name "daddy" is not weird for me.
