Side effects of medication

Good evening

Can you please help to clarify the below question for me..

When trying to get pregnant using medical treatment cycles

Are there any side effects due to the medicine used during treatment ?

Like Clomid or other tablets for helping to release eggs ?

Or other injections like GONAL F during IVF or IUI cycles ?

I am asking this question because I tired medication for about 4-5 months and was not successful.

And 4 months later I got cataracts in both the eyes 🥲

Please clarify or share some knowledge, since childhood I didn’t have any eye issues. Only medication I used for more time are to get pregnant.
