Fear of eyes in toddler.

My 2 year old fears eyes. Whenever he sees cartoons with big eyes, the gets really scared, looks away, screams, runs, can’t be calmed down even when I hug him, I switch it off of course, but now for the first time it crossed my mind that maybe his fear of eyes is beyond cartoons. He doesn’t look at people. He avoids eye contact. Even when am breastfeeding him, he pushes my face away if I look at him. He has been avoiding eye contact for over a year now but I never thought he could be scared of eyes. I always thought he is shy. He does look at his brother. And sometimes does look at me but on his terms.

Has anyone experienced this? What can I do to help him?

I feel like his speech is delayed because he doesn’t look at how people move their lips to make sounds. He just wings it. So his sounds are off but u can tell he knows stuff like his alphabet, numbers, but it is hard to understand what he is saying.
