My 11 month old is still on purree, how do I transition ?

I feel like i’m so behinddd??? Idk how to transition her to solids she refuses anything with texture and will push it out with her tongue instead of trying to chew or just wont open her mouth? She doesn’t have much interest in solids either? Also she doesn’t have a single tooth yet, should i be concerned? :/

Just stop the purées and give actual foods. There is going to be a major development delay if you don’t do this. Do NOT cut in small pieces that’s a choking hazard. Long pieces the size of your pinky finger. 
Solids starts is a great resource for this. Accurate information. May consider seeing a feeding therapist also.

Stop offering purées. 
Just offer a plate with the same foods as you. Let babe explore and feed themselves.
Babe can’t want what you don’t offer. 
It may be very tricky since babe has been on purées for too long. Just don’t cave and go back to purées. Be consistent. 
Use the solid starts app to see how to serve foods safely. Small is not safest in most cases. The solid starts website and Instagram can also help you.
Don’t overly stress about how much is swallowed. Babe needs to touch, lick, squeeze, throw, chew, and even spit out foods. That’s how they learn.

May need a feeding therapist soon but she absolutely needs to start eating things other than puree for her development. I have clients who can’t chew cause they’re parents didn’t prioritize it when they were younger

Have you tried in betweens like bananas slighly mashed or potatoes/sweet potatoes slightly mashed and just put it on her plate?

Her main source of nutrients right now is formula or breastmilk. So just stop giving purées and give her whatever you’re eating with whatever necessary accommodations (so maybe cooking veggies a little longer to soften or cutting into smaller pieces etc) she won’t learn to ‘chew’ or keep it in her mouth if she doesn’t practice. Also, if she’s not super into it, it could be how you’re cooking it. Babies like seasoning just like we do. Make she she’s got some flavor.
