Spotting/discharge?? Please help!

I’ve just turned 8 weeks and over the last week I’ve experienced spotting (what I believe is spotting as it’s been a light flow and it’s been sporadic).

The first time it happened was last Friday and it was a really faint pink, but I went for a private scan that day and the sonographer said everything looked great, baby was there with a heartbeat, it was growing in the right place and my ovaries looked fine. I felt really reassured after that.

Then nothing happened for a few days and then when I went for a poop on the Tuesday, it looked similar to the picture below. I was a bit constipated at the time so I thought maybe it was due to straining, and then the same thing happened again today when I went for a poop.

I rang the hospital and they said potentially piles but also they said as long as it’s not really heavy and there’s no pain, it sounds normal. I thought I would add that this is the week when I’m supposed to be on and I’ve read it’s common to bleed during that time too.

Can anyone offer any advice or has anyone else been through this and could reassure me as this is my first pregnancy so I’ve no idea. I have my first midwife appointment next week.
