Are blood transfusions safe to receive in the us as in the blood is tested for diseases ? I’m scared because if the consent form and what it states

Perfectly safe. Risk of contracting anything is very minuscule but they have to put that on the consent form to cover all basis. If you’re having to sign a consent form for a blood transfusion I’d say the risk of needing one is a lot higher than the risk of contracting anything and so absolutely sign it. I had a blood transfusion at 28 weeks pregnant with my daughter due to internal bleeding and we’re both completely safe and healthy almost 2 years later :)
