Nuvaring birth control question

So I'm about to start using the nuvaring and after explaining it to my boyfriend he's really worried about noticing it during sex. And I'm also extremely worried it will come out when we are getting frisky. I've heard you can take it out for 2-3 hours from a ton of different sources but I don't see it anywhere on the actual nuvaring website. How can I know for sure? I'm just too scared to try it without actual proof...
