Egg retrieval??

Question

How does the process work to have your eggs scanned and retrieved if need be?? What age should you start to worry about that?? Does it hurt? Im not very old but im having some kind of ticking clock anxiety.

I’m 37 and I’ve had 3 egg retrievals. Each one was sedated thank goodness. The recovery after was ok, some soreness, some bloating, a little spotting. You will be on hormone injections for a couple of weeks leading up to the retrieval and will have regular internal scans (not painful) to measure the eggs and see how they are growing. Defo worth doing it if you’re worried. I wish I did this years ago so I had younger eggs!

Its testing and then usually rounds of meds and lots if tracking around retrieval to make sure they do it at the right time. For me retrieval didn't hurt at all but since people I know have said it is very very uncomfortable. 1st step is talking to a doctor and seeing what they say and how their clinic does it (and cost).
