Should we keep the stray dog?

Hi everyone, I am 7weeks pregnant and  my husband brought home a stray dog a few days ago. The dog seems to have alot of abuse and when he brought her home she was super skinny. We already have a dog and a cat. My question is should we keep her I'm just afraid we won't be able to give her the attention she needs once the baby comes. Since shes we would be rescuing her. I'm not sure. Like I really want to but I wanna do what's best for her. Not us.

That depends on the dog and you. If youre already feeding and walking your other dog then it may not be much added responsibility. Also does this dog display issues like separation anxiety (though having another dog around may help with that if they get along with each other). Our dog was a stray who showed up on our porch and hes pretty easy. Sadly he was so neglected that he doesnt require a ton of attention and is just happy with his walks and visits here and there. He had some anxiety with feedings for about 3 or 4 months and when we would leave the house until he learned he could trust us to return and feed him consistently and then he was fine. But again it depends on the dog.

I wouldn’t. But my last of 3 senior dogs just passed away and my kids are in too many activities to have a pet. Plus the expense. Plus finding care when we travel. Hard pass. I’m all set with responsibility.
