IUD falling out? help!

I went to check my iud strings after sex because i can tell when my bf can feel them during, he cuts it short & he gets turned off from the poking.

I checked my strings and i could feel them with my fingertip less than an inch from vagina opening. I then started panicking because usually i have to fully insert my middle finger to feel them. I then started scooping around for a minute or so to see if it was loose and now cant find the strings at all. I will book an appointment but it will be a month before i can get in to see a dr. Looking for experiences with this. I dont have any unusual discharge or discomfort yet. (Maybe it just happened) Maybe a bit of poking when i move around but i could just be paranoid. This is my first iud so i couldn’t know the symptoms to look for if it has come out of place.
