For any one who is not a first time mom who’s had more then one baby what is the best advice to give us first time mothers to be

If you are breastfeeding, try to be patient with it all. It can be so scary the first time around but i promise if you keep at it, you achieve it. Feed on demand and at the most every 3hrs for the first 2 weeks to a month until you get a good schedule going. Its tiring but worth it. Get baby checked for tonuge and lip ties and if baby has ties PLEASE get them taken care of by and ent. Itll prevent colic and other dogestive issues. You have to get them revised before 2 months. I have a child who breastfed with ties perfectly so i didnt get them revised. I regret it. She had digestive issues amd it sucks. Eventually when shes older ill get it done for her(with her consent because at this point i dont want her to suffer and not understand why). If you need to supplement while breastfeeding, please offer only .5 oz after feeding. I had one child who needed supplementation until by supply came in. I fed her for 20 min each breast and then added .5 oz every other feed. She was born tiny so it was a must. My supply was slow to come in but if came finally on day 4. I stopped supplementing on day 7. By day 7 i had been weaning her back.

Sleep when the baby sleeps!!! Make sure you prioritize your mental health, trust your body if you choose to breast feed, start a sleeping schedule @ 3 weeks and honestly enjoy this as much as you can…dot. Stress the small stuff 😍
