So this really hurt me and it felt fucked up to hear. 
My mom said, what’s the point of me trying so hard in life, breaking generation curses (drugs,abuse) if you are not going to have children? What’s the point of trying so hard if I have no grandchildren? 
At this point in my life at 21, I don’t think I’ll have kids cause the world is going to shit and motherhood seems traumatic
It really hurt me to hear that. And she said she wishes she had more kids so she could increase her odds of having grand children. 
Who says that to their daughter? 
What do you think about it.

This could just be her response to your 'why have kids, times are hard' mindset. Maybe she does want grandkids and is worrried that you dont. I dont see why this has to be a discussion at age 21 especially but if youve been telling her you never want kids because of how the world is,  youre opening yourself up to comments like this.

I didn’t have a child because I wanted grandchildren someday… I had a child because I wanted THAT child. 🙄

You have value all in your own and whether you have kids or not that does not change. You go ahead and break those generational curses including valuing someone only if they reproduce.

That would have been my breaking point and the moment I cut her out of my life for good. Youre healing and breaking generational curses for YOU, not for her and all she cares about is not having another generation to put her influence on? Im so sorry for you. Ive had to completely cut out my parents over the course of the past year and it HURTS, especially now with the holidays, but its also the best thing i have done for myself.
