House warming gifts

Im moving into my first house next year i never been to house warming party my husband and i a thinking about having one obviously theres a lot of time but i want to start the list but i have no clue what you would ask for and if theres anything thats not appropriate to ask the only things i would assume will be silverware towels ovenmits shower curtain but thats it and i would assume big items like fryer toaster over big things like that wouldnt be appropriate
