Would you get a 2nd opinion?
10 years ago I asked my OBGYN if it was possible for me to have PCOS, and she told me that she had it and could definitely say that I don’t. At this time my main symptoms were just heavy painful periods, irregular periods, spotting. Fast forward to now, I’ve been having a lot of missed periods for months at a time, lots of spotting, still heavy periods when I do get them, pain with sex, unwanted hair, and last week she told me that I had high levels pf AMH (estimates number of eggs in ovaries) and in my ultrasound she could see a lot of follicles in my ovaries which she said is typical with PCOS, but she doesn’t believe I have it because I’m actually underweight and don’t typically struggle with acne. Other than that all of my blood work, Pap smear, and ultrasound were good. I feel like she’s missing something, and I’m just curious if anyone has ever been diagnosed with PCOS without having some of the classic symptoms such as obesity or acne.
