I’m confused lately and could use some help!

I had my egg retrieval on a Oct 29th. Had a withdrawal bleed 4 days later and my 1st period started on Nov 16th. They told me to report my next cycle since my body needs more time to heal. I was also told that because my stim cycle was so long (about 43 days due to the protocol) my 2nd official period will likely be late too. So I kept an eye on my ovulation sticks and expected it to be about 2 weeks after I got a positive ovulation. My positive stick was 4 days ago on cycle day 21 - about 5 days later than when I usually ovulate. But to my surprise, my period just started this morning.

I don’t know whether I should report this day 1 or wait? My cycle was only 24 days long which is short even for my normal, especially when I confirmed ovulation only a few days ago? Anyone been in the same boat?
