c section vs vaginal?

is a c section really the easy way out? (i’m not trying to undermine how painful c sections are) the thought of me pushing out a baby literally scares the hell out of me. i did it twice though, for some reason im having a wicked bad anxiety about it for my third baby and id rather just have a c section. i didn’t have any complications and i did have a pretty decent birth but the after birth was AWFUL. My vagina burned so bad, to the point where i was so scared to pee and gave myself a uti. the vaginal pain was terrible when the epidural wore off. the nurse had to give me an ativan because the pain was causing me so much distress and anxiety. 🥲i had no complications with my labors and pregnancies though. 
but lately my anxiety has been at an all time high and my heart rate has been a  bit high here and there. so im scared to push the baby out seeing how your heart rate goes up when you push. i don’t wanna have a heart attack. i’m gonna do the week long ekg to double check. i’ve been having issues where my heart rate jumps when i stand up from lying down… or jog up stairs and my pulse will feel like it’s beating out of my neck but i can work out pretty intensely and life dumbbells just fine, it’s super weird.

Easy way out? It’s mind boggling anyone thinks that’s. It’s a major abdominal surgery here you’re sliced through several layers of skin, fat, muscle and organ, your organs are moved around, and baby is taken out of your body. You’re delirious and stuck to a table so there’s very little time to see baby, let alone hold and bond. Baby is taken to the nursery while you continue being put back together and then taken to recovery. With surgery comes series risk. Bleeding , blood clots, infection, death, etc. Having a UTI isn’t a big deal. 
You have weeks of recovery while trying to care for an infant. And a lifetime of after effects for many. 
You need to speak to your doctor.

Csections are NOT the easy way out at all. They SUCK. Recovery is 10x harder than a vaginal delivery. Doctors won’t do a csection unless medically necessary and insurances won’t pay for it either unless medically needed. 
I had a Vbac with my 2nd and let me tell you, I’d do that a 100x over again than having another csection. I would’ve had major delayed healing from surgery if I did have one since my daughter was in nicu an hour and a half away.

C sections suck . I’ve had 3. I felt them cutting with my first. It’s major surgery, most doctors won’t do a c section unless medically necessary.

It seems like this post isn’t really about vaginal versus C-section, it sounds more like worsening anxiety. I recommend talking with your doctor about that.

I was up and walking within 20 minutes of my vaginal delivery amd by discharge day able to take my older kids to the park which I could lift my toddler that day. None of that would have been possible with a c section. Its a major sirgery and there is nothing easy about it. Would birth 20 babies vaginally to avoid a c section myself.

My husband said that after they cut through my abdominal muscles, they pulled some of my intestines out and put them in a metal bucket next to me so the doctor could find my uterus and slice it open. I was literally disemboweled. But sure, let’s call that easy.

You get to lay wide awake while feeling your insides getting tugged on and your ribs pushed on so hard you throw up all over yourself. You get a wicked scar to look at right above a place that use to look "sexy".  I've got a pouch of fat on my stomach that is completely numb. I doubt I'll be losing that nasty thing anytime soon. I couldn't hold still during my second c-section due to shaking and being so scared that they poked me SIX times in the back. After the third C-section my back hurts Soo bad I can barely give my kids a bath now without being close to tears. I also had a crazy reaction to the stuff that PARALYZES you and itched excessively for almost 12 hours. You have to have a catheter. Two times it took me a while to pee after so I had to get recathed. The last c section I wasn't able take a full shower for the full 6 weeks due to the type of bandage they had to put on me because my incision was bleeding pretty bad. Everytime you cough or sneeze you think and feel as if your insides are going to fall out. I still can't feel when my bladder is full. I just know I should try to pee every few hours. So no definitely not the easy way out at all. It's scary af. Just going into the operating room with all the bright lights n people being naked is scary enough. I'm sure vaginal delivery is as well. But I'd choose that.

I’ve never had a C-section but I know it’s not the easy way out. I believe having a vaginal birth is easier by far. I’ve had 3 unmedicated vaginal births. I was up walking around right after. The only pain being equivalent to the soreness you feel from working out at the gym. How could your body being cut, heavy medication, stitches, healing process, etc be easier?

Ive had 2 vaginal births and 2 c sections. My first v birth was rough with a level 4 tear that was very painful and I thought I wouldve been better off with a c section....until I actually had a c section. It was a lot harder and more painful than I expected (much much more than 2.5 hrs of pushing and severe tear)
