What is it like having kids…. Years apart?

For fun, fill in the bank and tell me what it’s like having kids (xyz) years apart. For example, what is it like having kids 2 years apart vs 7. And so on. What are the pros and cons of different spacing and ages gaps?

2.5 years apart is hard. Having a newborn and trying to toilet train is rough. Even more so because toddler won’t listen and doesn’t know how to be quiet so keeps waking the baby. Little one is 11 months old and it’s easier now that he’s napping less 😂

I have a 4yo, 2yo and 1yo next month. IT IS HARD however I wouldn’t change the short gap. The first 2 were planned with the 2 year gap the last one decided he wasn’t going to follow the rules lol
They are very close, they teach and learn from each other, they’re interested in mostly all the same things, my oldest watched over his youngest siblings like a hawk and quiet honestly the 2 yo watches over him. If he gets an ouchie he runs to his brother for a hug and it is quite amazing seeing them having such a close bond.

My kids are 18 months apart and I love it. They keep each other occupied so I can get a lot done around the house. They play together, nap together, learn together, experience life together at the same maturity level, they'll be 2 grades apart so they'll experience school together and possibly have the same friends. Their bond will be very close

My 1st is 13 she’ll be 14 in march . My 2nd is 3 yrs old . That was very easy she helps me a lot n they have different interests of course so they don’t fight over toys . She does tell him to “ get out of my room “ a lot lol bc he likes to go in there n take her stuff . But she always tells me he’s perfect . N perfect age gap . Now I’m pregnant again . N my 3 yr old
Would be almost 4 when it’s born . Idk how that’ll be , I assume maybe some jealousy over the baby … bc my 3 yr old
Is still breastfeeding. N he’s very attached to me . They’ll have an almost 4 yr age gap . 14 years age gap with my first . . It’s how I wanted it . I got pregnant the first time every time I tried .

My first and second are 10 years apart then  my seconds and third are  3.5 years apart. I will take the 10 year gap ANYDAYYYYYY over the closer gap. I know people want siblings to be close together grow up together etc but whew it's alot lol. My oldest was THRILLED and such a good big sibling. Didn't care about being that much oldest and still doesn't really as an 18 year old.

Mine are 2 years exactly and it's hard because theTir still so young it's hard to understand why they need to share you. Also mine wasn't good sleepers so that's tough when they're both up in the night 💀
Potty training was ok though because she could sit up by then so she was happy to sit in the bathroom while I sorted him. 
They're both into similar things too. 1 and 3 and they play with the same sorts of toys so that makes things cheaper. 
If I was to do it again if go for a small age gap to get the tough bit (sleep wise) done all I'm one go

Thought 3 yrs apart would be good because older one would be more independent but nope… was hard… potty training him when she was a newborn, oldest wanting to be active on playground, baby wanting to destroy olders creations and toys… I literally had to make pillow and all barriers and she was so determined to get to everything he was playing with- those were long afternoons- my son didn’t know what to do with her and then it would become too crazy 
Now they constantly yell at each other and working on it 😅 they truly love each other tho and he is a great supportive brother now

6 years apart and it’s amazing! My oldest daughter is the best little helper even without us asking. And the baby loves her big sis, reaches for her, and lights up when she sees her.

My older two are under 2 years apart. The transition from 1-2 was smooth. Then my 3rd was born almost 4 years after my second. Their birthdays are 6 days apart. I wanted them closer in age but it worked out because my second was in preschool when the third was born and I got lots of one on one time with the baby, she was not jealous at all and was so sweet to her sister. We had #4 (surprise!) 2 years to the day after #3. Our third was extremely jealous of her sister and did not handle it well. It changed her personality honestly and she became super mean and started lashing out for attention. We just found out I’m pregnant with #5 and due on the girl’s bdays and I am nervous about how #4 will handle it and if she will be jealous like her older sister was.
