Iud insertion & period?

Can iud insertion induce your period? I got Liletta Today and I'm not due for my period until tomorrow but I started bleeding 3 hours after I got my IUD in. The blood is also brown?

Yes, but it’s more likely from the IUD insertion itself, or if you came off a different birth control to start the IUD, I bled for 2ish weeks after my IUD insertion due to the insertion itself and withdrawal bleeding from my previous birth control
