Any Pit Bull Experts here?

I have two pit bulls . One is a dog my boyfriend’s mother had but couldn’t keep. The other is a rescue. One is 3 the other is 4mths old. Both have been great about playing with each other but recently I’ve noticed the older one getting more aggressive twitch the younger dog. My boyfriend swears “that’s just how dogs play with each other” but it makes me extremely nervous. I’d never forgive myself if I didn’t ask questions and the older dog bit the younger one.

Older dog is asserting boundaries. It’s fine for now but keep an eye on it to make sure the puppy doesn’t get hurt by not respecting the boundaries your older dog is trying to put in place.

The older pit is just showing his ￼￼ dominants. It shouldn’t be anything to worry about if you don’t go ahead and let the bigger dog show the younger one his the boss and he gets bigger and the bigger dog does it it might cause problems. They shouldn’t jump on one another but the bigger one will get onto the smaller one until he learns his place. Also pits due play rough at times with there young but they shouldn’t be doing it enough where it’s hurting the smaller one badly.

Put them both in a training class; not just one. Ive had pitts for my entire life. They are territorial; but sweet and kind. Id make sure they have the same toys, bowls, down times and walks together to help build a bond. There can be jealousy between the two especially if one has been with you longer. Good luck 🍀
