Little irritated
Little backstory: with my first pregnancy we waited u til 12 weeks to announce and about 2 weeks later my SIL calls me and is telling everyone she is pregnant too. Well, it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy, but her losing her baby was all I heard about the rest of my pregnancy. She even made a big deal about maybe not coming to my shower (which was 4 months later). She ended up being pregnant and delivered hers when mine was nearly a year old. Today we told her we were expecting our second and she was like "me too!" I'm kind of bummed because I was hoping that this time around I would be able to be pregnant without being compared to her. We aren't close and everything feels like a competition with her. He mom bends over backwards for her (which irritates my husband), but I was supposed to downplay my pregnancy last time to spare her feelings. Am I wrong to feel like just once I want to not compete with her or be compared to her?
