What’s going to happen?
Here is my situation which seems to be getting progressively worse. I live in Ohio, If you have any insight or any knowledge or maybe something like this has happened to you. Please let me know. I am a mother to a 5 year old and 8 month old. I am 7 months away from graduating as an RN. 2 days ago I was involved in a serious car accident that left my car totaled and I was injured. My daughter is safe and okay. I was trapped in my car and was pinned to my seat. The other driver is at fault. I was taken to the ER and followed up with my primary care yesterday and had chest X-rays done. I am a full time student and so this is devastating. We are a struggling family, as I feel any nursing student struggles. I contacted a personal injury lawyer to help me with my case as I am left with absolutely nothing. I was told that the at fault driver of the other cars insurance would be paying for everything, as they have good coverage. I received a call from my insurance today stating that at the time of the accident MY INSURANCE LAPPED! and I didn’t have coverage. This was due to me losing my debit card the month prior and forgettting to update my auto pay information. I have car insurance now. But 2 days ago I did not. After the phone call the only thing I could think about was ending my life. I’m gonna lose my license. I’m going to lose my ability to drive. I have worked so hard endlessly to become a nurse and I’m almost there and this happens. After an hour of life altering emotions. I have to contact my lawyer about not having insurance at the time of the accident. The other driver is at fault. I have no idea how this will work now. However, my school is a 12 minute walk from my house. My daughter’s school is a 7 minute walk from my house. I’m just going to have to get a job at McDonald’s which is down the street from me. I can do this right? Am I going to be able to do this? I’m so scared. I’m crippled with anxiety over this. My son’s daycare is a 15 minute drive so I can take my fiancés car. But we cannot put many miles on his car because it’s our only one left. Will they give me driving rights if they take my license away for this?
