Im nervous to check

I had sex on the 16th unprotected he asked me the next day to do a ovulation test so i did and it was very positive test line darker then the control. I had light spotting on the 25th and have been cramping and nauseous since and now my period is a day late but im having strong cramps should i wait it out and see if my period comes or should i just test now? I dont know what to do i feel like i should wait it out
