This is probably a disgusting question

I don’t know who to ask though! Can mucus get stuck in your throat? I had the flu like well over a week ago, it seriously kicked my butt because I’m a severe asthmatic so it just seems to have dragged on and on, I’m still coughing up a little bit of stuff but I can breathe.

The only thing is, I have something that feels like mucus in the back of my throat! Maybe not mucus but a blockage? Maybe it’s swelling? I really don’t know how to explain it but it’s extremely bothersome, It’s there 24/7 and it doesn’t matter if I eat or drink to try and get it down. I literally want to reach into my throat and pull it out 😭 I’m kinda miserable about it.

Maybe I’m not crazy and other people experience this, I told my mom about it and she has no idea. I’ll be seeing a doctor soon anyways because I have a surgery lined up that the flu halted, but man I have to try something to fix my throat!
