am i wasting my time?

ive been texting this guy (who i have not yet met) for nearly six months now. i have pretty much fell in love with him, he's so kind and affectionate to me. we flirt, send each other intimate pictures, have phone calls, if i met him i would literally want be his girlfriend and he's made it clear he feels the same. however, someone told me he had a girlfriend, i confronted him about this and he said "i thought you knew". he never mentioned ANYTHING about a girlfriend. yet he keeps saying his girlfriend keeps travelling and when he started speaking to me we "clicked" and he has feelings for me. i kinda accepted it and we're still talking - he said he would speak to his girlfriend, and i believe him. a few weeks after this happened and were closer than ever, someone shows me a picture of him and his girlfriend on Instagram and i just break down and get so pissed off. am i wasting my time? why is he doing this to me? i am so in love with him but i hate being treated like a second choice.

How can you fall in love with someone you never met ? ... and just the fact that ur talking to a guy that's already taken is a horrible thing .. you should be telling his girlfriend if anything .. and I'm sorry but if he's doing it to his girlfriend he's going to do it to you so before you actually meet this ass hole I would suggest getting over him cause you are waisting your time !!

For starters, generally in situations like this people do not leave their boyfriends / girlfriends for another person - and even if he did decide to breakup with her and start to date you, who's to say that he wouldn't start talking to a new girl behind YOUR back? Obviously these are worst case scenarios, but I would highly advise taking them into consideration. If these things were to happen, do you think that you are prepared to deal with consequences and emotions that come with them? You deserve a person that is willing to give you 100% of themselves as a result of you giving them 100% of yourself. What he is doing is very disrespectful to both you AND his current girlfriend. Ultimately the decision is yours and you should go with your gut feeling, but I would advise cutting all ties with him. From what you have shared, it sounds as if he has a very toxic mentality towards the morals of a healthy relationship at this point in his life and that is unfortunate because I'm sure that you are a beautiful person, inside and out, and he is missing out on that. If I were you I would just try to break it off, he obviously seem like he's playing you both and if you were to get together then wouldn't you be consious that he'd do to you what he's doing to his girlfriend now, try and put yourself in his girlfriends shoes and how heartbroken she would be if she found out xx
