Is a IUD a good idea ?

I'm getting ready to get one so I don't get pregnant but , I'm worried it could mess me up ... Any tips ?

IUDs are affective immediately, and you can start having unprotected sex right after insertion.

I absolutely hated it!! I was told it would stop my period completely after about a month or so and I didn't! My period came at random times and was never the same each month. I was also told my boyfriend wouldn't feel it during sex and he did.

I've heard horrible things about it and have had several friends with complications from it. It's really common to have issues with it. I personally wouldn't recommend it

you're doctor will explain all the risks, and assign you one that will be most appropriate for you based on your family history aswell as yours. I personally have been on depo(the shot) lasted me a year(they say to come back every month for a shot.
