Was I scanned to early? 5 weeks 6 days

Hi!

I have a lengthy history of loss so that is why I was scanned at 5+6. We saw a gestation sac measuring at 18 mm and a normal looking yolk sac but no fetal pole. Did I just get scanned to early or am I heading towards blighted ovum?

Things that I think are positives. My hcg has been high and was rising double/triple. I have definitely been having strong symptoms.

I have a retroverted uterus and I read that can make early scans more difficult? My scan was at a regular radiology clinic, not a fertility clinic.

Due to this being our 4th possible mc in a row, we’ll be moving on to ivf if this doesn’t worn. So be real with me!
