Hi ladies, I recently made a trip to the ER for a nasty long period and large blood clots. They did a few tests to rule out Fibroids, Ruptured Cysts, Miscarriage, etc,. Well it was not a miscarriage, no rupturing cysts, no fibroids. I went in for a follow up yesterday with a gynecologist and she said they found manny little cysts in my ovaries she wanted to take more blood to check for androgens and to rule out any thyroid issues. She said it sounds like I'm not ovulating often and that's why my periods are so irregular and heavy. She thinks it's PCOS. The past three years I've had facial hair growing, irregular periods, crazy weight gain. It's very difficult to lose weight, even when I was on a swim team, dancing Zumba and walking regularly. I eventually gave up after two years and I've blown up like a balloon. I also have struggled with acne that seems to be worse on the neck/chest/and chin area. She said all of these signs point to PCOS. Those of you who have been diagnosed, are your symptoms the same? How did you lose the weight? And did you have problems conceiving..?
