Do they ever drug test you while you're pregnant? I smoked the day before I even found out I was pregnant and just wanted to know 😒

I live in texas and they usually do drug test  at every appointment. I think it's madatory. But as long as your baby comes out clean when they are born they shouldn't mess with you

If you don't have a history of drug use or you seem pretty together they are not going to unless that is your state law when I worked at the obgyn as a tech we never did we literally dipped a test strip if nothing like blood or sugar were in your urine we dumped it. Even if a patient admitted to doing drugs the doctor will report it and when you deliver cps will show up and test you before they even let you see the baby it happen to a friend she had a history of drug use although she was clean for 2 years they still showed up and had her tested before she got to see her son so yeah.

Yes at every appt! Also when you deliver the baby my dr made me sign papers allowing him to drug test... I asked the nurse if people actually tested positive knowing they we're going to  be drug tested and she said YES! I asked her what happens she said the dr talks to the patient and all records are turned over to the social worker at the hospital when you deliver and if you test positive at the hospital CPS is involved immediately! 🙀

I have to do a urine sample at every appt. Bit all they do is dip that little strip in it then poor it out. Maybe they did at my first one when they needed a sterile sample but I don't know for sure
