Barely cleans

I have a question. If you and your significant other do not live together, would you go to there house and clean? It’s not like a quick vacuum and sweep type of clean otherwise I wouldn’t be here. He hasn’t cleaned his dishes in more than a few days , the floor needs swept and mopped, and garbage needs to be taken out. There are things everywhere. I don’t know why he waits so long to clean and then asks me to “help” clean. When he say “help” he wants me to do it for him. So my question again is would you or should you help your significant other clean if you guys do not live together?
