Are men slow?

Are men slow at taking care of kids!??? 
I organized my kids small cabinet, everything is organized. But still my husband cant find or put together an outfit for the kids. Im so confused? And then I see so many women complain about this same stuff, like wtf?
Sometimes I travel for work, and i have to put together daily outfits down to socks and underwear because my husband just cant. One time i told him to meet me downtown with our daughter who was 3 at the time, he showed up with our daughter looking homeless.

For most men it's basic biology, it's just not their strength. We're better suited to nurture (most of us, anyway) and it's normal for us to be more intuitive when it comes to childcare. This shouldn't be an excuse for lazy fathers though. If your partner is at least giving it his best, just guide him gently so that he has the opportunity to do better next time.

Weaponized incompetence. If he wanted to, he would. My husband actively organizes our kids closets, brushes their hair, picks their outfits etc. my oldest just requested that he take her clothes shopping. He very much so cares about their appearance since they are a reflection of him.

These are men who have been enabled into weaponized incompetence. My husband knows not to run that bull-crap on me, in ANY area of my life. I bring a LOT to the table, so I expect a full, competent, responsible partner. My youngest son was 80% potty-trained by his dad, he would also help with night time and every aspect of their daily routine. Being a let down was and will never be an option in my relationship.

My husband can cook, clean, and generally look after the house. He bathes the little one but picking out clothes is something he asks me about. I advise him what to get and he gets the ones I say. If we have had a blow out 90% of the time he'll ask me to get the clothes while he changes the nappy. I think men excell at a certain areas and others they struggle. I see it as a blessing as he will step up and try and help with everything. Also things can frustrate me that he does but when I am less sleep deprived and I think of what he has done I am so grateful for the help and support. When he's stressed or tired I step up and help out. We don't expect a thank you as we know how tough it is and a simple action of doing something we asked without being reminded shows the.love that is there.

I mean my husband has dresses our boys with no problem. He matches them and doesn’t send them out looking homeless. I guess your husband just doesn’t pay attention

No it might just be some men. Even my ex who is as dumb as rocks was able to do everything for our kids and more. My fiance is even more wonderful and helpful than my ex and that says soooooo much! Have you tried talking to him about it?

No, my husband does it all as I have to be at work by 6:30am, and he drops the kids off at daycare by 9am

My husband cooks and cleans, takes our kids to the park, even does their haircuts, brushes out our girls' hair....but he cannot get clothes together for them for the life of him. They roomshare so maybe thats part of it. If hes forced to eg when I was in the hospital, they end up in their sibling's clothes or the outfit is weird. And hes otherwise an involved and competent spouse and father so I know in his case it isnt weaponized incompetence. Like if Im sick he will literally do everything for us but be like 'please just put their clothes on each of their beds for me'. So yeah that can be a thing. And one time we went away for a long weekend, I packed bags for me and the kids and he was to pack for himself somehow he forgot to pack shirts. He otherwise planned the whole trip, researched and booked the airbnb, packed up the car and snacks and water for all of us etc, so hes not lazy....had plenty of pants and socks and toiletries, yet had no shirts in his bag. I dont get it but it's true!

My husband has never had an issue dressing,m his own children. As a matter of fact, he’s never had an issue with any of the things that have to do with caring for his own child. He’s a competent grown adult. ￼
