Bp medication question pls read

Were you able to get off your bp medication right away or were you weaned off of it if so, did your bp elevate again after you stopped the meds

Reason I’m asking is because cardiologist said that she usually sees that happen when they take you off of it or wean you off she did mention it might elevate a bit she said she’s not too concerned about it but if it gets 120/90 to take half of the pill instead of the full dose I had terrible side effects from this medication & my bp has been good most days for about two months now & it was causing bad heart palpitations she said it’s best I got off the meds

Can anyone pls tell me their experience with coming off their bp medication
