Am i the only one that's starting to hate the word narcissist

People throw this word around so much and I find it so annoying. I have a masters in psychology and Narcissistic Personality Disorder is rare. It's a specific disorder and I see people like "My boyfriend cheated on me. He's a narcissist." Someone can be an asshole and not be a narcissist. I also hate when people throw around psychopath and sociopath. Those are not even real disorders. The disorder is antisocial personality disorder and people who have that disorder are not inherently evil. That disorder like many are a spectrum. I just needed to vent this out today because I am so over people just throwing words around. Someone being shitty does not make them a narcissist.

@Nadia I completely agree but we all have narc tendencies. Humans are naturally selfish and it's not always a bad thing. I just see people use it for things that are so dumb that aren't even narc tendencies. A mom I used to work with when I was a caseworker would say her 14 year old son is a narcissist because he gets an attitude. That's not even narc tendencies. That's just being a teenager. I've seen so many times where someone just does something a person doesn't like and they're calling them a narcissist. I just think the word it overused
