False negatives while breastfeeding?

Hi! My little one is 9 mos old and exclusively breastfed. My period is due tomorrow and I took a pregnancy test this afternoon and got a clear negative. With my first, I got a blazing positive 2 days before my missed period, but I’m wondering if it’s possible to have a false negative due to breastfeeding? I have excessive discharge that’s white in color - this was my first sign when I was pregnant with my first which was what made me test! I’m usually very dry before my period. Ty in advance!
