When should I be safe to switch jobs?

I was laid off and for a little over a year now I’ve been working part time but I’d like to find something full time. Is it safe to look for another job now or should I wait until the 2 year mark so it doesn’t look like I’m a job hopper?

I would look for another job if it benefits you it’s easy to explain to a new employer that u needed something full time and your current job doesn’t offer that x

Totally fine especially if you otherwise have a good work history. Needing full time work is a legitimate reason to look after a year. A red flag would be if you have a pattern of changing jobs too soon or your reasons for looking are problematic eg youve hated all your bosses, keep getting fired etc
