Is it fair to have group reviews at work?

I'm a CNA and the company I work at does these meetings on the unit where they talk about how our unit can improve and they do this with everyone in the room and it's like an "in general" talk and doesn't actually talk to the people who need to improve.
It just becomes this thing where the management comes and tells us things like oh you all need to wash your hands because the hand hygiene police say it's crap or like oh your bed sores are up so you need to turn people more. 
It's unfair but I'm new and been only doing this for a few months and it's my first job out of school. My boyfriend says I take things too personally because I'm pregnant too but it just feels like targeted bullying. 
Like I get targeting the group but most of us work really hard and they don't ever talk about that.

So you're upset that your managers....are managing? Every job does this, or should do this. If you as a CNA get told your bed sores are up, turn them.mkre...aka do your damn job correctly. It shouldn't be "oh how dare they tell me that because I work hard." You can work hard and still need oversight and constructive criticism. And the only way I could see this as bullying is if they have the group come together and then single out 1 of you only. Like if all 10 of you or whatever are there and they only tell Sarah that she needs to do X/Y/Z better and then toss in some comments like make sure you dont be like Sarah...ya thats bullying. But having a team meeting to go over important things.that you all need to do is just a normal job...especially in health care. Is this your 1st job or 1st cna job?

You need to stop taking things personally. If you can't handle gentle, group centered feedback, being a CNA is not for you. Your managers did this to hold you accountable as a group or team. Getting negative feedback is not bullying!

I feel like saying it to everyone is the opposite of targeted bullying. If you know you’re not doing anything wrong then your bf is right that you shouldn’t take it personally. If people are getting bedsores from things not being done correctly then it’s something they need to hear, for the people not doing things wrong they should just take it as a reminder

Bullying? No it’s called management of problems in the workplace.

This is how it’s done in health care. Regardless if you’re doing it correctly, the entire staff need to be told to either get people to do it or as a reminder. When you have your performance review then they’ll talk about you specifically.

I feel like this is pretty common. My line of work, if someone does something wrong or whatever, my chief will bring it up in the meeting and say “we” instead of pointing fingers. 99% of us know who he’s talking about but he’s doing it in a way to make it known to everyone to make sure things are done a certain way instead of calling out the person. Gives them a chance to straighten up and do better before they have to have that 1 on 1 meeting.

I absolutely cannot stand this dynamic. Instead of just reprimanding the who are doing a shitty job, they create a whole new policy and more work for everyone 🙄 pussies.

It wouldnt be ok if they singled someone out during the meetings in front of everyone. If specific people are consistently doing something wrong then Im sure thats also coming up in individual meetings or performance reviews (luckily it sounds like youre not one of them) but they still need to bring it up to the team and make sure everyone is on the same page. Of course theyre going over team performance and areas of improvement because thats literally staff meetings....thats how it is at pretty much every workplace and Im a bit perplexed as to why you think theyre in the wrong.
