unexplained bleeding and pain in sex

Hi girls,

so recently i’ve been experiencing pain during sex and also bleeding during and afterwards.

i would say this has been going on for a month at least if not more. When it first started it was a stinging pain during sex and then afterwards while weeing and wiping, i put this down to maybe being a cut? there was also some cramping sensations throughout the day afterwards a few times.

since then however, it hasn’t really subsided, i have been spotting since, not consistently but regularly enough to be noticed and put me off having sex. there has been a few times where there had been an alarming amount if blood on my partner after sex but almost slimy like discharge but varies from bright red to brown.

I have done an STD test to make sure it isn’t anything like that and have had a period in the middle of all this so not thinking pregnancy either.

As I initially thought this was a cut my partner and I refrained from sex for a week or so to allow time to heal and the pain was only there when it was first put in and then went but there was still blood afterwards, after having sex again the following few days the pain returned more regularly during the sex and in different positions. With having a period in between all of this there was also another week ish of not having sex, which is making me think it isn’t down to having too much sex or sex too regularly.

Since this the pain is now there every tike we have sex and is now always there when wiping and touching the area, there is often slight signs of bright red blood when wiping too. The pain is still a stinging but now with a burning sensation too. It is around the area of the vagina hole ( my biological knowledge gaps are showing here as i dont know the technical terms🙈)

recently the blood has gotten worse and there is a lot more in my knickers but not like a normal line or pool shape like a period but more of a mess and explosion type of mess in my pants, which is alarming to me.

I’m just wondering if anyone has any advice or experience in similar situations, I’ve looked into sexual health clinic websites here in England but can’t see a specific area to book an appointment to get something like this looked at.

for context I am on the contraceptive pill but have been for 3/4 years and not experienced any issues with it so truly do not think it down to that but thought it’d be worth a mention.
