I wanted to do a baby shower for my daughter, but sonce im not that sociable, i rather use that money, to buy my daughter everything she needs:-) am i being fair??

Yes you are being fair you do not need to have one it's just something nice to have if you know or talk to a lot of people.

I'm using mine as an excuse to get everyone I grew up with and watched grow up (girls I've know since they were children now going to college next school year!!) together and of course new friends. But I am not at all social and was very clear no one needs to provide gifts as I'd rather be blessed with their presence than a present!!
