Being told I'm ruining young boys lives

There's this group of boys in my neighborhood that are awful. And their parents do not care that their broken condoms were running around disturbing everyone 2 boys re 16, one is 17, the other is 15. It's started off with them just ding dong ditching our doors. Then it went to egging our homes and then things went to bullying my kids and the other neighborhood kids. They were calling my 12 year old daughter a slut. She was just hangout out with her friends in a shirt and tank top. They went too far. A couple weeks ago they were shooting these hunting guns that belonged to their parents. They were shooting mail boxes. They ended up missing and shooting through my window and it it my 14 year old son in the arm. I was terrified. We rushed him to the hospital. My husband saw the boys running away. They didn't even care. Me and my husband pressed charges and the parents are harassing us because it was an accident. That they are boys being boys. That the boys didn't meant to hurt him. Being an idiot is not an excuse to be a criminal. They are old enough to know better. We have court Monday and the parents keep talking about me on Facebook about how we are trying to destroy young boys lives forever over an accident. My son is traumatized from being shot. Why am I being painted like a villain for holding those boys accountable.
