Unsolicited financial advice!
I just wanted to share some baby related financial advice that worked out really well for us.
When my parents were TTC they started putting my moms entire salary into savings because she wanted to be a SAHM. It took my parents 7 years to have a baby so they had a LOT of money! They only took money out for fertility treatments, one six week long vacation after 5 years of trying when they got burned out, and eventually, to buy baby stuff!
My dad suggested we do the same thing, but I don't want to leave my job. So when we found out we were expecting our first together, we started putting the amount of money we'd be spending on daycare and supplies in to savings in addition to our normal savings.
We're due any day now with a huge emergency fund and we got used to not having that money every month!
Just a suggestion- hopefully it helps someone else as much as it helped us 😊
