Ex partner gave me an sti

Hi all,

My ex gave me chlamydia. I got tested three weeks ago after experiencing some symptoms, and the result came back positive 😫 I actually contracted it around three months ago from him, but I only realized after the symptoms started.

I told him immediately and urged him to get tested so he can inform any other partners he may have exposed. He’s the only person I’ve been with recently, so I know it came from him. Unfortunately, I also transmitted it to my current partner, whom I started seeing a few weeks after leaving my ex. He’s fine and is currently on treatment.

It’s been almost two weeks since I told my ex, and I asked him to update me with his results. I don’t think he’s going to get tested because of his attitude. He’s friends with my cousin, and my neighbor is friends with his mum. I’m going to text him to check if he’s been tested, but if he hasn’t, would it make sense to reach out to his mum or talk to my cousin? I hate that others could be affected by his irresponsibility.

Any advice would be great!
