Better to quit or get fired?

Question

Is it better to get fired by a company or quit? I’m seeking suing my company for harassment/bullying and not getting lunches. It’s been a whole year since I’ve dealt with harassment and new management not caring and believing anything anyone says about me even false information. Hearing from a worker, they stated tonight “they haven’t fired her yet cause we are short staff” the manager just hired 5 people and we do now have enough so it is coming to an end where he is golf to fire me. My boyfriend says it’s better to get fired to collect unemployment but I can’t access unemployment because I couldn’t verify what job I had prior to having unemployment once and they couldn’t help me out. I’ve never been fired and it hurts my pride to think of being let go for over nothing I’ve done wrong. I don’t deserve to be fired. I am the victim of harassment and bullying. What I do now with knowing they’re gonna fire me soon enough?

I’m not sure why you’re saying you can’t get unemployment. 
If you’ve done nothing wrong and plan to file, stay until they let you go. Your next employer will ask; you say it wasn’t the right fit. You don’t need to disclose you were let go. 
Most people don’t use employers they have a bad relationship with as references anyway.

If you intend to file for unemployment then wait until they fire you; you can not get it if you quit. Which in confused in your post you said you tried for unemployment before but then said youve never been fired before? If you dont intend to file for unemployment then it is better to quit. Like everyone else said, quitting looks a lot better to other potential employers than getting fired. Quitting means it was your choice; getting fired shows them that you did something or multiple somethings so wrong that it resulted in them getting rid of you and makes you a red flag to them. If you quit you do not have to tell why in an interview if they ask. You just say it was not a good fit or a good work environment.

If you get fired that will effect ur other job opportunities. It's better to quit, as you stated you already can't get unemployment they need ur while work history and if you still can't provide the one that they need verified then you still won't be eligible for unemployment.
