TTC - multiple chemical pregnancies after a healthy full term pregnancy-help!
Quick back story!
I had a full term (37wk) pregnancy in 2020. Info that may pertain to this now - hemorrhaged, required 60ish internal stitches. According to OB, healed wonderfully.
We began trying for #2 around 15 months. I have had 3 confirmed chemical pregnancies, I think a 4th during that time but I was WAY too sad/in my head to even test that month.. was late, pregnancy symptoms.. etc.
What we’ve tried/tests -
-HSG imaging - normal. Minimal scarring on left fallopian tube w some mucus, probably cleared w dye injection.
-Diagnosed w PCOS (after first baby) due to multiple cysts on ovaries (but not more than a dozen), abnormal bloodwork - lh/fsh was at a 1:5 ratio, was having very heavy bleeding
-Had either a fibroid or decidual cast based on pics, ultra sounds found spider veins on ovaries/pelvic congestion syndrome. OB said this will get worse w each baby but normal finding.
-Did a few months of estrogen patches to balance hormones after this
-Uterine lining was “paper thin” after losses.. also another reason for patches, to help thicken lining/hang on to fertilized eggs
-Was told I was “pre-hashimotos” but too early for treatment. Thyroid ultrasound w/in normal limits.
-Clomid. First month we had 17 follicles & 47k hsg (everyone thought we were pregnant w multiples) but didn’t end in pregnancy unfortunately. Then OB said I needed to wait 2 months to try Clomid again.. ovary was the size of a softball. We have tried again.
-I’m 5’5, 126lbs, active. Other than heavy periods prior to first baby never had hormone/pelvic issues before this.
-We started Metformin even though periods are fairly regular to assist w any blood sugar issues. (On one fasting blood panel my sugar was still right on the border)
-next step is IUI or fertility clinic
-I do have celiac and have been gluten free for over 17 years. That along with “pre-hashimotos” has left me recently wondering about autoimmune treatments? Anyone w autoimmune dz at a fertility center have input on keto, low dose glp-1s, immunosuppressants?
We took a big break (7 months) from EVERYTHING. Then just got positive naturally this month on our first attempt!! 3 positives (faint but darker each day). I’m HEARTBROKEN to share I’m bleeding today.
Here to share, ask for input, what has worked, what pieces of the puzzle might someone else see w a second set of eyes. TY!
