Natural birth or take in the needle!?

I just want to know all the mommy who has take the needle was it worth it any long term problems? And to all the mommy who went natural how was it?

Personally I don't think the risks are worth it. An epidural is always an option if you can't take the pain anymore, so why don't just give it a try? Look into a water birth (pain relief, less stress for baby, less chance of a rupture, quicker recovery, faster birth time) or laughing gas as alternatives and maybe a good course like Hypnobirthing (no it's not airy-fairy but quite grounded and your partner also learns how to help you with your pain - not just being there one hour but the whole course because you are a team). I'm not saying a epidural is a bad thing, I'm just saying look in to all the options and even if you try without and you can't take it anymore you can always ask for one. I was induced because my water broke but I wasn't having any contractions. As soon as they gave me pitocin the contractions came fast and furious and I ended up getting the epidural. I really wish I hadn't, it felt so unnatural sitting in the bed not being able to move. I plan on going to a birthing center next time so I can be encouraged to have the natural birth I want

I had to get an epidural earlier than I had wanted to during my labor due to high blood pressure issues but I am so glad I did! Not only did it lower my blood pressure, I was able to sleep through everything, even transition!!  I woke up and it was time to start pushing, & I had so much energy I pushed the baby out in 5 contractions. I would def get one again!

I had an epidural and it worked great for me! I had to have a c-section in the end but it wasn't because I had the epidural. I haven't had any problems from it and I will be getting one next time. I wanted to go all natural but realised why the hell should I suffer through all that pain when there's no need! Lol x

If anything my sister got the epidural and she absolutely regrets it now yeah it helped tremendously when she gave birth but now she suffers from it when it's cold her back swells and it's hard for her to walk and very painful if anything she said she would give natural no matter the pain then and there but it's better then suffering from it later on. Just depends on the person i guess really. For myself I don't think I will be getting it I'll try my hardest not to

I wanted natural. But after 12 hours of labor i could not take the pain and got the epidural. I labored for 6 more hours until my little man came out. It was the best decision ever. I got some rest and was able to push him out very quick. I have no issues because of the epidural, and my son is also doing just fine.
